
On 28–29 May 2026, Trakia University – Stara Zagora will host the international forum Hydrogen for Clean Power and Mobility, bringing together leading scientists, researchers, industry experts, and business representatives from Bulgaria and abroad.
The event will take place in Augusta Trayana Hall and will focus on hydrogen as one of the most promising technologies for clean energy, sustainable industry, and low-emission mobility.
The forum is organized as part of the activities under the H2START – Centre of Excellence in Hydrogen Technologies project, as well as the project “Development of Research and Innovation at Trakia University in Service of Health and Sustainable Well-being” No. BG-RRP-2.004-006.
What to Expect
The programme will feature speakers from Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Greece, and Bulgaria, representing universities, research organizations, and companies with a key role in the development of the hydrogen sector.
Day 1 will be dedicated to a Hydrogen Masterclass, following the path from scientific concept to industrial implementation.
Day 2 will present the latest research and innovations in electrolysis, fuel cells, hydrogen infrastructure, and mobility.
Key highlights include:
- hydrogen vehicle demonstration;
- hydrogen applications in rail transport;
- modular test bench for hydrogen equipment;
- poster sessions featuring young scientists and researchers.
Invitation to Participate
The organizers invite lecturers, researchers, students, PhD candidates, institutional representatives, and business professionals to join the forum as attendees or poster session participants.
Participation is free of charge, and all registered participants will receive certificates.
Abstracts for poster presentations will be accepted until 11 May 2026 for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts. Posters may still be presented after this deadline, but they will not be included in the printed collection.
The working language of the forum is English.
