The H2START team spent an intense week of study visits and a consortium meeting in Turin, hosted by Politecnico di Torino’s Energy Department. It gave us something you don’t always get —clarity.
In Polito, Environment Park, the I3P Incubator, Energy Center, and Innovation Mile we saw H2START in 15 years. We learned how a mature ecosystem works up close — the way Polito (mention) connects research, education, and innovation into one.
We came back with practical takeaways & key decisions on:
- laying the foundations of H2START’s Education Center, led by Prof. Ani Zlateva and Prof. Alain Thorel and its first modular trainings and workshops
- what an education center should look like (driven by marketable skills and industry needs)
- how to structure the future center with clarity and flexibility (governance, autonomy, “how decisions actually happen”)
- how to transform research into innovation for market uptake
- a clear action plan to move from “project mode” to a sustainable institution
Strong partners, strong week, and a lot of work ahead — the good kind. More to share soon — this was an insightful step forward.
